WHAT IS BASE MIX?

Base Mix is the liquid solution consisting of Propylene Glycol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerin (VG) that is vaporized in your device and is used to carry the flavor and nicotine, and provide the vapor in your favorite ECBlend e-liquid
ONLY THE BEST — ECBlend uses only the best PG and VG in your E-Liquid!
Nicotine and Propylene Glycol are two small molecules with known safety profiles. Propylene glycol (PG) is generally recognized as safe by oral, dermal or inhalation routes and has been a common ingredient in all American made tobacco cigarettes for seven decades (AAPHP website). The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) upon reviewing the available toxicity information has concluded that there are no endpoints of concern for oral, dermal, or inhalation exposure to propylene glycol. In these studies, dose levels near or above testing limits (as established in the OPPTS 870 series harmonized test guidelines) were employed in experimental animal studies and no significant toxicity was observed. Discontinue use of PG if you experience sensitivity or irritations to PG: Although ECBlend e-liquids are not made with known allergens, there are reports regarding skin irritations and inhalation sensitivity to PG. If you feel any irritation of skin, nose, throat or any other other sensitivity, switch to a base mix that has a higher percentage of vegetable glycerin (VG).
Avoid throat irritation: Drink plenty of water and be cautious about chain-vaping. Take periodic breaks if you feel any sensitivity or irritations.
VG: Water Soluble, no oils, no soy. Our VG is 99.7% (with the remaining 0.3% being water) food-grade palm-derived Vegetable Glycerin (VG). There are no animal by-products in either our PG or VG. It has a sweet taste, but is metabolized differently than sugar and does not contribute to bacterial tooth decay. Because it is derived entirely from palm sources and pure, it is hypoallergenic and contains no soy as is found in other sources of VG.No toxicologically relevant effects of PG/VG aerosols (up to 1.520 mg PG/L + 1.890 mg VG/L) were observed, and no adverse effects for PG/VG/nicotine were observed up to 438/544/6.6 mg/kg/day. This study demonstrates how complementary systems toxicology analyses can reveal, even in the absence of observable adverse effects, subtoxic and adaptive responses to pharmacologically active compounds such as nicotine. HOW DOES BASE MIX AFFECT MY E-LIQUID
Throat Hit, Vapor, and Consistency depend on the Base Mix you select
More PG in the base mix will make the liquid thinner, and will produce more throat hit and less vapor.
More VG in the base mix will make the liquid thicker, throat hit will be smoother and vapor production will be much greater.
MAX VG : Flavoring is PG based, if additives are selected, they are added as VG based, and the remainder is filled with VG (Also know as "Max VG" These flavors produce the most vapor "clouds")
50%PG / 50%VG: This will produce a moderate amount of vapor, and moderate throat hit
30%PG / 70%VG : This will produce a moderate amount vapor, and moderate throat hit
Our E-liquids are usable in any refillable personal vaporizer.
Throat hit also depends on nicotine concentration, resistance (ohm's) and device settings you are using (higher wattage, lower resistances etc...)
Adding Menthol also increases throat hit
THROAT HIT AND YOUR PERSONAL VAPORIZER
Throat hit can also change depending on your settings. Using a lower resistance coil will also increase the throat hit. A variable wattage device will also allow you to adjust your throat hit by increasing or decreasing the wattage.
BE SAFE: Do not modify your device and check with your manufacturer for more information.
