For the purpose of this article, we used a 3 ml syringe in 1/10th ml graduations, our standard 5 ml bottle with dropper insert containing 18 mg nicotine and 50% PG/ 50% VG base mix:

This is very difficult to calculate. It depends on the size of the "drag" you take, the device you are using and your settings, among other factors.
This answer has changed quite a bit over the years as new devices enter the market. 1ml in a "pod" generally lasts longer because it is used less due to higher nicotine strengths. While a "subohm tank" consumes more as it burns at a hotter temperature. The coil style matters as well.
So.... this article is not ... strictly speaking.. scientific.
We are taking a big old guess about what the average "could be" based on our experience in this field: A pack of cigarettes contains 200mg of nicotine (at an average of 10mg per cigarette), however, you only absorb about 1-2mg. You are absorbing 10-20mg per pack.
An average vaper consumes 1-5ml per day (lets use 2.5mls per day). So we will assume that 2.5mls per day = 1 pack per day.
Using the average (for the average user) then, 1 pack = 2.5 ml of e-liquid :
- a 5ml bottle would = 2 packs
- a 15 ml bottle would = 6 packs
- a 30 ml bottle would = 12 packs
- a 60 ml bottle would = 24 packs

Using the above numbers, the equivalent costs would be
- a 15ml bottle = $5.95 for equiv of 6 packs = $0.99 per pack
- a 30ml bottle = $8.99 for equiv of 12 packs = $0.75 per pack
- a 60ml bottle = $14.65 for equiv of 24 packs = $0.61 per pack
