It has a strong and very sharp aged tobacco flavor, and a very dry finish on the exhale. Its aroma is quite strong, and certainly noticeable. I am noticing that it leaves a very cigar-esque after taste, very reminiscent of the real deal. i am vaping the 50/50 and added a brandy flavor shot, but have not yet tasted the brandy coming through. What I can say is that out of every e-liquid I've purchased that claimed to be cigar flavor, Cuban Gold is the ONLY one I've actually enjoyed. I got it with 60%PG/40%VG, with Rum as the flavor shot. The first thing that impressed me with this flavor is the combination of tastes you experience from inhale to exhale to aftertaste. There's a very distinct "dry-leaf" flavor which is just awesome. The tobacco flavor is mild and just slightly on the bitter side. While this probably isn't my all time favorite tobacco flavor it's definitely high on my list of keepers and could easily be an all day vape for me. I'm considering ordering more with different flavor shots. Silly me was trying to make a cherry tobacco that was like my father-in-law used to smoke in his pipe.
